Our story
A familiar gathering place for the Las Vegas recovery community.
Founded in 1983 by Don Kothera and Bob Franco, The Triangle Club began with a simple, vital promise: provide a safe, secure, and welcoming physical home for 12-step recovery programs and related activities.
Recognized as a Nevada-incorporated 501(c)(3) nonprofit that same year, the club has opened its doors to countless people finding their way through Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, Overeaters Anonymous, Al-Anon, and other recovery support.
For more than four decades, thousands of people have come through our doors seeking shelter from the chaos of addiction and found a community of mutual support, strength, and renewed purpose. Recovery needs a physical sanctuary: a place to sit without judgment, share stories, and rebuild a life.
The Triangle Club has been that anchor for generations of local families and individuals. For many, we are the last house on the block—a place where reaching out can matter deeply. If you or someone you know is suffering, please reach out a helping hand.
Why we are here
01
We provide a dependable, welcoming space where people can meet and build supportive relationships.
02
Our meeting space helps the recovery community access regular gatherings and shared support.
03
We believe a stronger community begins when every person has room to show up as they are.
More than a meeting place
Beyond providing a sober sanctuary, our members give their energy back to the surrounding neighborhood through gatherings, celebrations, and practical support.
An annual Easter Bunny visit and egg hunt gives children who might otherwise go without a chance to enjoy a memorable holiday.
Every Independence Day, the community fireworks stand raises funds that go directly toward building maintenance and upkeep.
A traditional Hawaiian Luau brings neighbors together with hula dancers, fire dancers, and a full menu.
A full Thanksgiving dinner is prepared for the community, free of charge, with friendship and a welcoming table for all.
During the winter holidays, Santa visits the club to hand out toys so local children in need can experience the magic of Christmas morning.
Member donations keep an ongoing yard sale stocked with clothing, home goods, sporting goods, and electronics—most priced at less than $3 for families facing financial strain.
